Current Research Project
One of the projects is made from the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute and they show much change for example, research has helped patients live longer. In the 1970s, life expectancy for individuals with sickle cell disease was about 14 years. Today, many individuals live into their 40s and longer. Another one is them using a reference and the website is call Springer Nature and they use other institutes like National Acute Chest Syndrome Study Group and they help a lot. They want to investigate cardiorespiratory disease progression using a transgenic mouse model. Finally, NIH Medical Plus and that one has a scientist and his name is Dr. John Tisdale and his goal is to research seeking a cure for sickle cell disease.
